Business Finance

Your business has a purpose. The finance should too.

Working capital. Expansion. A business acquisition. Refinancing existing debt. New equipment. Commercial property.

Different purposes can require different finance structures.

Before we talk about the loan, we want to understand what the capital is intended to make possible.

At Evermore, we'll take the time to understand the business, the purpose of the funding and the financial position behind the application.

Then we'll assess the lending options available and explain the proposed finance in a way that makes sense.

Understanding the Business Before the Loan

  1. 01

    Start with the purpose

Why are you borrowing? What is the finance intended to fund? And what does the business expect the capital to make possible? The purpose of the loan can influence the lender, product and information required.

  2. 02

    Understand the financial position

Depending on the type of finance, lenders may consider business financial statements, tax returns, BAS, bank statements, cash flow and existing commitments. Our role is to understand the information available and assess the lending pathways that may be relevant.

  3. 03

    Consider the structure

Secured or unsecured? Term lending or working capital? Principal and interest or interest only? The structure should reflect the purpose of the finance and the circumstances of the business.

  4. 04

    Assess the lending options

We'll research suitable lenders and assess policy, loan structure, pricing and requirements. Then we'll explain our recommendation and why we believe it is appropriate for the proposed finance purpose.

  5. 05

    Present the application clearly

We don't 'paint the business in a favourable light'. We understand the business, the purpose and the financial position, then present the application clearly and accurately to the lender.
